The Political Circus

I am so tired of Politicians and Politics
Journalists and talking heads
Speech writers and Advisors
Hardly sleeping in their beds
The Unions forcing their members
To vote for the Unions choice
And if they don’t, they might loose their jobs
So, that’s not very nice

The bickering of all the candidates
Digging for dirt on one another
It’s hard to tell as they spit it out
If they even had love for their mother
I’m tired of listening to their buzz words
“I’m for Change and I’m for Hope”
Don’t ask them what they mean by that
If you accept it, you’re the dope

Some changes that I would like to see
So that we can elect the best
Is to cut the number of candidates
And they must pass a test
They must have a solid background
In Government and Global Affairs
And show a voting record
Of an individual who really cares

There should be a spending limit
Each candidate’s limit the same
Let’s stop this buying the position
Let’s stop this wasteful game
We need the best candidate we can get
It shouldn’t take two years of poles
To bring one individual from each party
To lay before us, their Parties goals

What we don’t need in the White House now
Is someone who will be a Resident
What we do need in the Whitehouse now
Is a man who will be “OUR PRESIDENT”?
